El incidente más reciente, ocurrió el lunes en Ruescas, donde un mecánico perdió la vida al quedar atrapado en la maquinaria que operaba. Este suceso eleva a doce el número de accidentes graves registrados hasta la fecha.
En respuesta a esta alarmante tendencia, los sindicatos han convocado una nueva concentración para exigir un incremento en las medidas de protección para los trabajadores. Carmen Vidal, secretaria general de UGT Almería, ha hecho un llamado enfático a las autoridades: “Es imperativo que el calendario laboral se adapte a las condiciones reales que enfrentan nuestros trabajadores. Con temperaturas elevadas que se extienden desde abril hasta octubre, aquellos que desempeñan sus labores al aire libre están expuestos a riesgos significativos y merecen un protocolo de actuación que garantice su bienestar.”
