La Audiencia de Almería se convierte en el escenario de un juicio entre hoy y mañana, donde cinco individuos enfrentan acusaciones de haber secuestrado a tres menores inmigrantes. El Ministerio Fiscal ha solicitado una pena de 24 años de prisión para cada uno de los acusados, en un caso que ha conmovido a la comunidad desde los eventos ocurridos entre el 12 y el 22 de junio de 2018.

Durante la vista oral en la sección tercera de la Audiencia, se espera que declaren 23 testigos. La fiscalía acusa a los cinco sujetos de cometer tres delitos de detención ilegal, con el objetivo de exigir un rescate a los padres de los menores.

Por otro lado, la defensa de tres de los acusados, quienes son hermanos, argumenta la insuficiencia de pruebas que demuestren el secuestro en una vivienda de La Mojonera, trasladados previamente desde Cádiz. Según la defensa, uno de los acusados solo acudió a recoger a un sobrino por petición de su hermana, y los tres menores se habrían unido voluntariamente, sin que se realizara ninguna demanda de rescate. “Es una narrativa sin sustento probatorio”, afirma la defensa, negando cualquier acto de coacción o petición económica a los progenitores de los menores.
