Pero es más, respecto a la fecha concreta de terminación, el Gobierno elude confirmar 2026, y se limita a reconocer que ese es su objetivo. En concreto, admite que “Se trabaja con el objetivo de dar cumplimiento a los plazos marcados por la Comisión Europea para la culminación de los tramos prioritarios pertenecientes a los corredores transeuropeos de la Red Transeuropea del Transporte”.
En referencia a la situación de las actuaciones en marcha en el Corredor Mediterráneo que permitirán la llegada de la Alta Velocidad a Almería se detalla lo siguiente:
- LAV Murcia-Almería, todos los tramos de plataforma se encuentran en ejecución a excepción de las estaciones de Vera y Totana y el ramal Pulpí- Aguilas, que están en redacción de proyecto y la Integración en Lorca, adjudicada recientemente. Por otro lado, se ha iniciado recientemente la ejecución de las obras de la Fase 2 de la Integración en Almería.
- Tramo Almería-Granada, en julio de 2022 se presentó el Estudio Funcional Granada-Almería donde se recogen las acciones y mejoras a implantar en esta línea (renovación integral de vía, electrificación, señalización y telecomunicaciones). Se licitó en noviembre de 2023 la redacción de los proyectos de Renovación y Acondicionamiento de los Tramos fuera de Variante, que no requieren de Estudio Informativo.
