El encuentro mantenido en Madrid ha resultado positivo dando lugar a un nuevo avance en las gestiones para la creación del nuevo enlace. Cabe destacar, además, que se trata de un proyecto redactado que se encuentra ya en fase presupuestaria.

El futuro enlace servirá para conectar la Autovía A-7 con la denominada como la del Mar de Plástico a través del Bulevar de la Paz. Una actuación necesaria y demandada por parte de los vecinos del municipio así como de los colindantes y es que, este nuevo acceso, permitirá agilizar el tráfico y mejorar las conexiones. Precisamente Antonio Bonilla ha remarcado ante sus interlocutores el carácter esencial de la actuación pues "permitirá disponer de una vía de conexión rápida entre los núcleos de población y las vías de penetración con la costa, además de descongestionar el alto nivel de tráfico que viene soportando el actual enlace PK-429, en El Parador".

De esta forma, la creación del nuevo enlace supondrá el primer paso dentro del gran proyecto diseñado para el Bulevar de la Paz donde el Ayuntamiento de Vícar, liderado por Antonio Bonilla, proyecta el nuevo cuartel de la Guardia Civil y el tercer IES de Vícar. Todas ellas actuaciones dirigidas a la visión de un futuro próximo donde Vícar se convertirá en una ciudad de más de 30.000 habitantes.
