El crecimiento económico en la provincia de Almería y en otras tres provincias andaluzas superó la tasa media de aumento registrada en Andalucía y España en 2023, según la primera estimación de la Contabilidad Provincial Anual de Andalucía para el año 2023.

La provincia de Málaga alcanzó un crecimiento del PIB del 3,6% en 2023, un dato que se apoya en un mejor comportamiento generalizado del sector Servicios. La provincia de Granada creció un 2,8%, gracias al buen comportamiento de las actividades relacionadas con el turismo y a la subida de las actividades empresariales y profesionales. La provincia de Cádiz también creció un 2,8%, gracias al aumento de la actividad del sector industrial, el comercio, los transportes y la hostelería. Por su parte, la provincia de Almería logró un crecimiento del PIB del 2,6%, gracias a la pujanza del sector agroalimentario y el aumento de la actividad de los servicios con el turismo como sector destacado.
Además, los mayores aumentos en la remuneración de los asalariados se dieron en Granada, con un 9,7%; Córdoba, con un 9,1%; Málaga y Cádiz, con un 9% en cada una. En Almería, la remuneración de asalariados aumentó un 7,7%.

En cuanto al empleo total, las provincias de Málaga, Cádiz, Granada y Sevilla experimentaron un comportamiento positivo en 2023, con valores por encima de la tasa media de variación anual registrada en Andalucía. Málaga lideró este aumento con una tasa positiva del 4,6%, debido al aumento en las ramas de Actividades profesionales, científicas y técnicas y las Actividades administrativas y Auxiliares.
