Almería cuenta, desde hoy, con la segunda guitarra española más antigua del creador de este instrumento, el maestro de La Cañada, Antonio de Torres. Y es que el Ayuntamiento de Almería ha hecho un esfuerzo para adquirir una pieza que, según los datos históricos, fue la primera que construyó tras su mudanza a Sevilla en el año 1853.

Esta valiosa pieza, que ya forma parte del Museo de la Guitarra ‘Antonio de Torres’, ha sido presentada este lunes por la alcaldesa de la ciudad, María del Mar Vázquez, junto a concejal de Turismo, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca. “Es la única guitarra que tiene una etiqueta totalmente manuscrita, lo que muestra el elevado arte de la taracea en la embocadura y en otros elementos decorativos”, ha asegurado la regidora quien ha matizado, además, que “para el Ayuntamiento es un orgullo contar con esta pieza, la segunda más antigua de De Torres tras la que se conserva en el Museo de la Música de París, que data de un año antes, 1852, y que por cierto fue construida en Almería”.
Así, “tras diez años de cesión de esta guitarra, propiedad de Consuelo Alarcón, en este espacio museístico, desde hoy ya se puede decir que la misma pertenece al museo y, por ende, a la ciudad”. En un futuro no muy lejano, “mediante la restauración de esta guitarra se conocerán muchos datos sobre los primeros años de labor de De Torres, los más desconocidos de su trayectoria”, ha asegurado la regidora. “Para el Ayuntamiento, insisto, esta adquisición es de suma importancia ya que favorecerá a seguir potenciando este espacio museístico que, recordemos, es el más visitado de los diez que componen nuestra Red Municipal de Museos, que en breve aumentará hasta los once con el Museo de la Vega”, ha finalizado Vázquez.

Por su parte, el conservador del Museo de la Guitarra, Carlos González, ha indicado al respecto que “es un momento muy importante y muy feliz para este Museo el que por fin podamos anunciar la adquisición de esta guitarra Antonio de Torres”. González ha avanzado que “ahora que es propiedad del Museo, está planificada una restauración, un estudio y una publicación con los planos y con toda la historia del instrumento”. La particularidad de esta guitarra “muestra la habilidad técnica de De Torres y, además, tiene ya elementos que indican la maestría del maestro artesano”.
El conservador ha reivindicado, para finalizar, “que Almería debe de saber que Antonio de Torres es una figura como Stradivarius o los grandes constructores que dan nombre a algún instrumento y en todo el mundo es conocidísimo, es algo que debemos de reivindicar”.

Además, el marco incomparable del Museo de la Guitarra ha sido escenario también de la presentación de las VII Jornadas Antonio de Torres, las cuales rinden todos los años honores al gran guitarrero de La Cañada. “Estas tendrán lugar del 10 al 15 de junio gracias a la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Almería y la Sociedad Guitarrística de Almería”, ha reconocido la alcaldesa, quien ha cedido la palabra a Joaquín Carrillo para que desvele el contenido de las mismas.

Así, “el día 10 será la inauguración de las jornadas durante la cual se donará la guitarra ‘La Delgadita’ de Emilio Morillas. Posteriormente, Antonio de Quero tocará esta guitarra donada en un miniconcierto que se celebrará en este Museo de la Guitarra”, ha reconocido Carrillo quien ha proseguido indicando que “el día 11 habrá una conferencia de Aarón García y el posterior concierto de José Luis Pastor bajo el título ‘Un Milenio de Guitarras’”. Igualmente, ha reconocido, “el día 12 será el concierto de ‘Candilena’ en la Plaza Pablo Cazard y el jueves 13 será el concierto de ‘Alí Arango’ en los Aljibes Árabes”, ha desglosado el presidente de la Asociación Guitarrística.

El acto ha concluido con la explicación, por parte del conservador Carlos González, de los entresijos de esta guitarra a la propia alcaldesa de la ciudad, María del Mar Vázquez, quien ha podido tener esta última adquisición en sus propias manos, con el mayor cuidado posible y con unos guantes debido a la antigüedad de la pieza. González le ha mostrado el manuscrito que conserva en su interior, el más antiguo de puño y letra de De Torres de cuantos se conservan.
