Esta nueva marca turística surge de la alianza entre los Parques Mineros de Rio Tinto y Macael, a la que ahora se suma la Geoda de Pulpí, todos ellos líderes de este segmento en Andalucía. Entre todos ellos suman casi 200.000 visitantes al año demostrando que la desestacionalización es posible mediante un producto turístico industrial y patrimonial con una fuerte identidad territorial.
Este lunes y martes una delegación del Parque Minero de Rio Tinto compuesta por el director de la Fundación Rio Tinto, el coordinador del parque Minero y el director del museo minero, ha visitado Macael y Pulpí.

En Macael han tenido la posibilidad de conocer el Museo del Mármol, varios talleres de artesanía y escultura, y de llevar a cabo un recorrido por su centro histórico monumental y las Canteras de Mármol blanco.

En Pulpí han visitado la Mina Rica con la Geoda más grande del mundo., finalizando la jornada con un encuentro entre autoridades y técnicos de los tres destinos con representantes de la delegación territorial de minas en el que se ha esbozado los siguientes pasos a dar con los objetivos de conservar y salvaguardar el rico patrimonio minero de Andalucía, desarrollar el turismo industrial basado en él, y potenciar la marca “Parques Mineros de Andalucía “.
