9.000 médicos sin plaza MIR en los últimos dos años

Juan José Salvador afirma que la falta de facultativos depende directamente de las políticas de Pedro Sánchez y de la ministra de Sanidad, mientras el Gobierno de Juanma Moreno ha incrementado la oferta de plazas de Medicina un 28% en cinco años

El parlamentario andaluz del Partido Popular de Almería, Juan José Salvador, ha exigido al Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez que ya que es su competencia, incremente el número de plazas MIR, con el fin de paliar el déficit estructural de facultativos en áreas clave de la sanidad y poder hacer frente a la jubilación de médicos que se va a producir en los próximos años.

Según explica Salvador, en 2018 ya existía un informe por parte del Gobierno en el que se advertía del desequilibrio que se produciría en 2023 precisamente por la falta de profesionales, sin embargo, el Gobierno sanchista ha permanecido cruzado de brazos y no ha tomado medidas para subsanar una situación que preocupa enormemente a la ciudadanía.

El parlamentario almeriense señala que más del 20% de los graduados que han aprobado el examen MIR cada año se ha quedado sin plaza, lo que ha supuesto que sólo en 2022, 4.000 médicos no pudieran acceder a una especialidad, y en 2023 unos 5.000 también se quedaron sin plaza.

Juan José Salvador insiste en que la falta de facultativos depende directamente de las políticas de Pedro Sánchez y de la ministra de Sanidad y lamenta que a pesar de ser su competencia “estén de brazos cruzados, sin hacer nada, mientras la situación de la sanidad se complica por la falta de médicos”.

Frente a la inacción del sanchismo, el parlamentario del PP recuerda que el Gobierno de Juanma Moreno sí ha hecho sus deberes y en sólo cinco años ha incrementado la oferta de plazas de Medicina en un 28% en Andalucía, convirtiéndose en la segunda comunidad que más plazas oferta solo superada por la comunidad de Madrid con 1.528.

“En 2018 se ofertaron 1.164 plazas y en 2024 se han ofertado 1.434, son más de 300 plazas de diferencia que podía estar ya ayudando a cubrir los cupos descubiertos y equilibrar las jubilaciones”, ha subrayado.
