Mis amigos, que viven en Madrid, se enfrentaron a una odisea al intentar planificar su viaje. El primer obstáculo fue el tren. La conexión ferroviaria entre Madrid y Almería es, por decirlo suavemente, deficiente. Los trenes son lentos y las frecuencias, escasas. Un trayecto que debería ser directo y eficiente se convierte en una travesía interminable, con transbordos y esperas que desaniman a cualquiera.

Pero no solo el tren presenta problemas. Las carreteras tampoco son una solución ideal. La conezión de Almería con el resto de Andalucía y Madrid, está plagada de tramos en obras y desvíos que ralentizan el viaje. Además, la falta de una infraestructura adecuada para el transporte público hace que moverse por la provincia sea un desafío, incluso para los locales.
Estos problemas no solo afectan a los turistas, sino también a los residentes. La falta de una red de transporte eficiente limita nuestras oportunidades y calidad de vida. Es frustrante ver cómo otras regiones de España disfrutan de conexiones rápidas y modernas, mientras que Almería parece estar atrapada en el pasado.

Es hora de que las autoridades tomen cartas en el asunto. Necesitamos inversiones en infraestructuras que nos conecten mejor con el resto del país y que faciliten la movilidad dentro de la provincia. Mi intento de invitar a mis amigos a Almería se vio frustrado por los problemas de transporte. Pero esta experiencia también me ha hecho reflexionar sobre la necesidad urgente de mejorar nuestras infraestructuras.
