En la presentación han intervenido el vicepresidente y diputado de Deportes, José Antonio García; el alcalde de Padules y diputado provincial, Antonio Gutiérrez; y el presidente de Kailash Experience Cultura y Salud, José Lledó.
El vicepresidente y diputado de Deportes ha puesto en valor esta prueba solidaria y ha invitado a todos a participar de esta cuarta edición a beneficio en la investigación contra la ataxia: “Me gustaría dar la enhorabuena a los organizadores por consolidar esta carrera que no solamente va a servir para fomentar la actividad física en el municipio de Padules, sino también de altavoz para sensibilizar sobre la problemática de la gente que sufre esta enfermedad. Esta carrera define muy bien los valores del deporte y del vecino de Padules que está sufriendo esta enfermedad, que es el coraje, el valor, el esfuerzo y el sacrificio”.

Por su parte, el alcalde ha resaltado que “presentamos la cuarta carrera solidaria para sacar fondos y luchar contra una enfermedad que en Padules afecta en primera persona, ya que tenemos un vecino de 18 años afectado. Es una enfermedad rara, que no tiene cura actualmente, y que lucharemos para que se investigue y se pueda ayudar a todos aquellos que están afectados por esta enfermedad”.

La IV Carrera Solidaria para la Investigación de la Enfermedad de la Ataxia de Friedreich es un evento benéfico que busca recaudar fondos para la investigación de esta enfermedad que afecta la médula espinal y los nervios que controlan los movimientos de los músculos de los brazos y las piernas. Los síntomas suelen comenzar entre los 5 y los 15 años. Al terminar se ofrecerá solidariamente comida y música.
