Un año más, el Ayuntamiento de Vícar pone en marcha el programa frente al acoso escolar y el ‘Laboratorio de Democracia’, proyectos consolidados en el municipio y dirigidos a la comunidad educativa. Ambas líneas de trabajo están encaminadas a la promoción de “los valores de la convivencia democrática”, como señalaba el alcalde Antonio Bonilla, base fundamental para el desarrollo como sociedad.

Los centros educativos solicitantes y que por lo tanto formarán parte de esta edición son los colegios Profesor Tierno Galván, Sant Sylvain D’Anjou, José Saramago, La Canal y Virgen de la Paz, así como los IES Puebla de Vícar y Villa de Vícar. Concretamente, los alumnos de Sant Sylvain D’Anjou y Profesor Tierno Galván han sido los primeros en recibir las sesiones de prevención del acoso escolar esta misma mañana, dando pistoletazo de salida al programa. Por su parte, el resto de centros se irán incorporando a lo largo de las próximas semanas como, por ejemplo, IES Puebla de Vícar el 25 de noviembre, Virgen de la Paz el día 26 o La Canal el día 29, entre otros.
El trabajo en prevención del acoso escolar se trabaja de forma transversal a través de diferentes áreas como Educación, Servicios Sociales o Igualdad, a fin de lograr una concienciación total, especialmente entre los más jóvenes. Así, una vez más el Ayuntamiento de Vícar atiende a su compromiso con los niños y niñas desde su condición como Ciudad Amiga de la Infancia y Ciudad Educadora. Por otra parte, la profundización en conceptos clave para la educación en democracia se ha convertido en identidad de los programas municipales, donde se incide en lo que significa ser un Estado Social y Democrático de Derecho y la relevancia del mismo.
