La Diputación de Almería ha lanzado el Proyecto Descubre tu Provincia Activa, denominado ‘Encuentro De Turismo Activo’ Naturalpujarra 2024. Este evento tiene como objetivo reunir diversas actividades relacionadas con el turismo activo durante un fin de semana, complementadas con iniciativas de sensibilización ambiental y actividades culturales.
José Antonio García, vicepresidente y diputado de Deportes, Vida Saludable y Juventud, ha afirmado que “este proyecto representa un avance significativo al crear encuentros de turismo activo que fomenten la colaboración entre los distintos municipios, ofreciendo así un paquete más completo para los turistas interesados en practicar deportes y explorar la cultura y gastronomía local”.

Este año se ha elegido la Alta Alpujarra para celebrar el evento debido al 25 aniversario del Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada. Se han programado una amplia gama de actividades deportivas y culturales, incluyendo senderismo, barranquismo, marcha nórdica, vía ferrata, trail running y trekking.
Además, habrá conciertos musicales, visitas a museos y un free tour. También se llevarán a cabo actividades educativas y medioambientales como conferencias inaugurales y sesiones de limpieza en entornos naturales.
