El Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible ha abierto al tráfico la glorieta de Balanegra (Almería) para desviar el tráfico de la A-7 a través de la N-340A y así cortar la autovía en ambos sentidos para reparar la obra de drenaje transversal dañada por las fuertes lluvias de la DANA del pasado 11 de noviembre.

El presupuesto estimado de estas obras de emergencia es de 6,7 millones de euros (IVA incluido). El objetivo es ampliar las obras de drenaje para incrementar su capacidad de desagüe y reparar otros daños.
La glorieta está situada en el enlace 829 de la A-7 y permite conectar la autovía con la N-340A permitiendo desviar el tráfico de vehículos pesados y ligeros por esa carretera sin necesidad de circular por ningún núcleo urbano.

Tras el corte de la A-7 a su paso por Balanegra (Almería), se procede a la excavación del terraplén de la A-7 hasta la cota del tubo, para su retirada y sustitución por un marco de drenaje con capacidad hidráulica suficiente (ODT1) para evacuar exclusivamente su cuenca vertiente, sin contar con la aportación del cunetón de drenaje.
De forma paralela, se plantea la ejecución de un nuevo marco en sustitución de la obra de drenaje transversal ubicada en el km 828,54, cuyo taponamiento ocasionó en inicio el problema en la del km 828,86, y su continuidad bajo el camino existente que cruza la autovía con un paso superior, con capacidad hidráulica suficiente para los caudales que recoge el cunetón de drenaje.

Para la obra de drenaje del km 828,86 (ODT 1) se instalará un marco de hormigón armado in situ de dimensiones interiores 5,5 m de ancho por 4,5 m de alto.
En el caso de la obra de drenaje del km 828,54 (ODT 2) se ejecutará un marco con tres células de dimensiones interiores 6,5 m de ancho por 2,5 m de alto.
