El dispositivo del Plan Infoca ha dado por controlado el incendio forestal declarado en la tarde de este lunes en el término municipal de Berja (Almería), en las inmediaciones del kilómetro cinco de la carretera A-358, donde se ha desplegado un operativo compuesto por medios terrestres y aéreos para frenar el avance de las llamas.

El fuego se habría originado por el incendio de un turismo, lo que provocó su propagación a terreno forestal. La llamada de aviso se registró a las 13,20 horas y movilizó a efectivos de Bomberos del Poniente, Guardia Civil de Tráfico, Policía Local de Berja, Infoca, Policía Autonómica, servicios sanitarios y Protección Civil.

Según ha informado el perfil oficial del Plan Infoca en la red social 'X', el fuego se declaró activo poco antes de las 15,00 horas y fue estabilizado alrededor de una hora después, al no presentar frentes que hicieran avanzar el fuego libremente. Sobre las 17,30 horas dio por controlado, aunque se mantienen las labores de vigilancia sobre el terreno.

En las tareas de extinción han participado dos grupos de bomberos forestales, dos técnicos de operaciones, dos brigadas de refuerzo del Infoca, una autobomba, tres aeronaves semipesadas y un avión de carga en tierra.
