Los agentes de la Guardia Civil pertenecientes al Área de Investigación de Olula del Rio, iniciaron una minuciosa investigación para el esclarecimiento de los hechos, en la que examinaron las grabaciones de las cámaras de video-vigilancia de la entidad y recabaron documentación relacionada y aportada por el denunciante.

El modus operandi con el que obraron los autores para alcanzar el fin propuesto, fue sustraer la cartilla con el PIN o número secreto, posteriormente se desplazan al cajero más cercano de la entidad bancaria perteneciente a la cartilla bancaria, transferirse innumerables cantidades de dinero a sus cuentas y a la de familiares y conocidos usando artimañas para que estos le devolvieran dichas cantidades en efectivo por si le bloqueaban sus cuentas bancarias, además de comprar vehículos o intentarlo en varias ocasiones, pagando dichos vehículos con el dinero transferido con capital sustraído al denunciante.
Tras un análisis exhaustivo y en coordinación con la entidad bancaria afectada, obtuvieron indicios claros sobre la identidad de la presunta responsable de los hechos sin lugar a dudas, lo que desembocó, el pasado día 13 de mayo en la detención de una mujer de 20 años. La Investigación continúa abierta y a la espera de detener al segundo autor.
