Un aviso fue realizado a los servicios de rescate marítimo alrededor de las 17:30 horas con el objetivo de llegar a uno de los afectados en la playa de San Miguel. Aunque se prepararon recursos para movilizar el helicóptero Helimer 205, no fue necesaria la activación del transporte aéreo, ya que el servicio de playas logró llevar a cabo el rescate.
Los socorristas de la zona lograron rescatar a un segundo bañista que se había adentrado en el mar con su tabla. Sin embargo, al intentar llegar a la orilla, decidió deshacerse de ella y nadar. Fue necesario brindarle asistencia a aproximadamente cien metros del rompeolas para poder sacarlo del agua.
