Almería ha finalizado el segundo trimestre del año (abril, mayo y junio) con un 71% de media de ocupación hotelera, un dato que supera en dos puntos el de la misma época del pasado año 2024 (69%), lo que, a juicio del concejal de Turismo, Comunicaciones y Promoción de la Ciudad, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca, “viene a demostrar que Almería interesa y que sigue creciendo su turismo año tras año”.

En concreto, la Oficina de Turismo ha realizado durante este segundo trimestre del año casi 4.000 atenciones pasando por sus nuevas instalaciones en la calle Juez, en pleno Casco Histórico, casi 7.500 personas, de las cuales 1.500 han sido extranjeras por 5.000 personas de turismo nacional.
Respecto al turismo extranjero, “los visitantes franceses se sitúan en el primer lugar, con un 31% del porcentaje del total de turistas extranjeros; en segundo lugar, los visitantes del Reino Unido, con un 16%, y en tercer lugar, los alemanes, con un 14% seguidos de belgas e italianos”, ha explicado Pérez de la Blanca.

En cuanto a turismo nacional, “la tendencia se mantiene, siendo Madrid, Barcelona y Valencia la procedencia mayoritaria de nuestros visitantes nacionales”, ha explicado.
Las peticiones se centran en la oferta museística, monumental y cultural de la ciudad, así como zonas de tapeo, gastronomía y platos/productos típicos de Almería. Además, los turistas también han mostrado interés, durante estos tres meses, por las playas del Parque Natural Cabo de Gata y rutas de senderismo ya que la temperatura de la primavera acompaña para hacer estas actividades.

El mes de abril, en cuanto a ocupación hotelera se refiere, finalizó con un 66% de media, un punto más que en el año 2024. “Hoteles del centro de la ciudad tuvieron más de un 85% de ocupación, llegando algunos incluso al 100% durante la Semana Santa”, ha esgrimido Pérez de la Blanca. Este mes, además, Almería recibió un total de siete cruceros con casi 3.000 pasajeros a bordo que descubrieron los encantos de nuestra ciudad, su gastronomía y sus espacios museísticos.
Durante el mes de mayo, “la ocupación media hotelera fue de un 70%, mejorando el 67% del año 2024”, ha resaltado el concejal. Nuevamente, hoteles del centro e incluso de la Avenida Mediterráneo han estado por encima del 80% de ocupación. “Además, las buenas temperaturas de este quinto mes del año han permitido que hoteles de El Toyo registren una ocupación media por encima del 85%”, ha resaltado. Este mes, además, han visitado la ciudad un total de cuatro cruceros (Ocean Victory, Oosterdam, Ocean Victory y Europa) con más de 3.100 personas a bordo.

Por último, el recién finalizado mes de junio ha resultado con un 76% de ocupación hotelera media, superando igualmente en 1 punto el mismo porcentaje con respecto al pasado año. Hoteles como del centro de la ciudad y algunos de El Toyo han estado por encima del 80% durante todo el mes. Algunos como HO y La Perla han rozado incluso el 100%. Este sexto mes del año ha registrado la llegada de dos cruceros, ‘The World’ y ‘Marella’ con un total de 200 pasajeros y 1904 pasajeros, respectivamente.
