El alcalde de Adra, Manuel Cortés, ha revelado que el pregonero de la Feria y Fiestas de Adra 2025 será Javier Aureliano García, actual presidente de la Diputación Provincial de Almería. Este destacado almeriense tiene un vínculo especial con la ciudad milenaria, lo que añade un valor significativo a su papel en las festividades.

Las celebraciones se llevarán a cabo del 5 al 10 de septiembre, en honor a la Virgen del Mar y a San Nicolás de Tolentino. El acto inaugural tendrá lugar en la plaza del Centro de Interpretación de la Pesca, donde García, junto al primer edil, dará inicio a las fiestas con su esperado pregón y el encendido oficial de las luces del Recinto Ferial.

Nacido en Balanegra, Javier Aureliano García mantiene una profunda conexión con Adra, ya que todos sus antepasados descansan en esta localidad, siendo el lugar natal de su madre. Su historia personal está marcada por momentos significativos en Adra; allí fue bautizado en la Parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción y realizó sus primeros años de Educación Secundaria en el Instituto Gaviota.

A pesar de su orgullo por ser balanegrense, también se identifica como abderitano y atesora gratos recuerdos de su infancia y juventud en Adra. Esta relación afectiva lo llevará nuevamente a la ciudad el próximo 5 de septiembre, cuando asuma el rol de pregonero durante las fiestas patronales.
