Los cuerpos de siete personas migrantes han sido recuperados a lo largo del día de hoy en las costas de Carboneras y Níjar, en Almería, en una jornada trágica marcada por la llegada de varias embarcaciones. Las autoridades no descartan que se encuentren más cadáveres en las próximas horas.

Seis de los fallecidos fueron hallados en aguas de Carboneras, mientras que el séptimo cuerpo apareció en la playa de Las Salinas, en Cabo de Gata, dentro del término municipal de Níjar. Según fuentes de los equipos de emergencia y la Subdelegación del Gobierno, los primeros indicios apuntan a que los seis cuerpos recuperados en Carboneras podrían pertenecer a un grupo de 26 personas que viajaban en una embarcación rápida y que lograron llegar a la playa de Los Muertos por sus propios medios.
La intervención de la Guardia Civil tuvo lugar a primera hora de la madrugada. Sin embargo, los avisos sobre la presencia de los cuerpos en el mar comenzaron a recibirse a partir de las 8:00 horas. Dos de los cuerpos fueron encontrados en la playa de Las Marinicas, y el resto en las playas de El Corral y Los Muertos. Los hallazgos se produjeron de manera progresiva hasta el mediodía, y los cadáveres fueron trasladados al puerto pesquero de Carboneras.
