La Consejería de Cultura y Deporte, a través de la Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales, ha hecho pública la resolución sobre el programa Iniciarte, que busca seleccionar propuestas expositivas en el ámbito de las artes visuales en Andalucía. De más de setenta propuestas recibidas, se han elegido cinco proyectos que serán exhibidos en espacios públicos.
Los proyectos seleccionados son: ‘L’espirit des formes – Living Room’ de Eladio Aguilera Hermoso; ‘Cómo vivir en los intersticios’ de Johanna María Failer; ‘Traficantes del recuerdo’ de Ricardo León Cordero; ‘Peones del ya ya’ de Carla Martín López; y ‘Con el viento bailan las flores’ de Aurora del Rocío Ruiz Moreno. Estas obras abarcan diversas disciplinas como el dibujo, la pintura, la instalación, el videoensayo, la escultura y la fotografía.

La comisión encargada de esta selección ha destacado la riqueza de lenguajes y el riesgo técnico asumido por los artistas en sus obras. Esta evaluación fue realizada por un jurado presidido por Lorena Codes, directora del Instituto Andaluz de las Artes Plásticas y Visuales. La reunión tuvo lugar el pasado 6 de octubre e incluyó a destacados profesionales como Tania Pardo, Ianko López, Juan Alfonso Contreras, Javier Garcerá y Cristina Consuegra. Todos coincidieron en resaltar “la alta calidad” de las propuestas presentadas y reconocieron la dificultad para elegir solo cinco finalistas debido al nivel creativo e innovador mostrado por un amplio grupo.

El programa Iniciarte ha sido fundamental durante dos décadas para impulsar las carreras profesionales de numerosos artistas. A partir del próximo año 2024, se verá reforzado con su inclusión en el Instituto Andaluz de las Artes Plásticas y Visuales. Este refuerzo incluye aspectos como reflexión sobre el propio programa, formación y mentoría para los participantes.
Desde 2013, se han desarrollado cerca de noventa proyectos expositivos bajo este programa, promoviendo a más de 115 artistas emergentes andaluces y produciendo más de 1.400 obras. Lorena Codes destaca que “Iniciarte es uno de los pilares del Instituto Andaluz de las Artes Plásticas y Visuales”, subrayando su compromiso con la creación joven a lo largo del tiempo. “Los muchos artistas andaluces que pasaron por Iniciarte hoy tienen trayectorias internacionales son el mejor argumento para seguir apostando por este proyecto”, concluye Codes.
