Se trata de una actuación orientada a optimizar la eficiencia energética, habitabilidad, salubridad, confort, sostenibilidad y conservación, llevando a cabo mejoras en el aislamiento térmico de la envolvente, soluciones bioclimáticas en fachada, sistemas de iluminación, ventilación y climatización de alta eficiencia, así como mejoras de accesibilidad con la adaptación y creación de nuevos accesos y dotación de ascensores, además de desarrollar medidas que favorecen la conservación y mantenimiento del edificio. Todo ello, con el objetivo de conseguir un edificio público de alta calidad y óptima eficiencia energética.

Esta actuación cuenta con un plazo de ejecución de siete meses y un presupuesto de 1.572.501,01 euros (IVA incluido), de los que 1.345.455,65 euros están financiados por la Unión Europea a través de fondos Next Generation, PIREP local, en el marco del Programa de impulso de rehabilitación de edificios públicos. La intervención se realiza en el antiguo colegio “El Chopo”, ubicado en pleno centro de Campohermoso, constituyendo un claro ejemplo de la arquitectura propia de los Pueblos de Colonización.
