El Grupo Municipal del Partido Popular en el Ayuntamiento de Adra ha defendido en el último pleno una propuesta en defensa de los trabajadores autónomos. La iniciativa, tiene como objetivo rechazar la actual política fiscal del Gobierno de España y exigir medidas concretas que alivien la carga burocrática y tributaria que soporta este colectivo. La propuesta ha salido adelante, a pesar del voto en contra del PSOE de Adra.
Según explicó el portavoz del Grupo Popular, José Crespo, en Adra se estima que existen entre 1.500 y 2.000 autónomos, en su mayoría agricultores, comerciantes, hosteleros y emprendedores que sostienen la economía local y que se ven amenazados por un “infierno fiscal y burocrático”. "No es el momento de castigar más al tejido productivo, sino de acompañar, facilitar y proteger a quienes mantienen la actividad económica".

Uno de los puntos clave de la propuesta es la exigencia al Gobierno de España para que transponga de inmediato la Directiva europea 2020/285 sobre el régimen de franquicia de IVA. El plazo para aplicar esta norma expiró el 1 de enero de 2025 y España es de los pocos países que no ha cumplido.
La aplicación de esta medida permitiría que los autónomos con una facturación anual inferior a 85.000 euros quedasen exentos de pagar y declarar el IVA, lo que supondría un alivio fiscal directo y una notable simplificación administrativa para miles de profesionales.
