El concejal de Municipio Activo, Juventud, Festejos y Tercera Edad, Rafael Nieto, ha señalado que espera “una gran participación, porque los nijareños somos gente solidaria, y porque somos conscientes de que la diferencia se puede marcar con pequeños gestos como éstos”. Del mismo modo, ha agradecido la disposición a la colaboración en esta actividad de la red municipal de voluntariado, creada hace dos años por el Ayuntamiento, y que ya cuenta con unos 200 voluntarios de entre 14 y 30 años.
