El Hospital Universitario Poniente del Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) ha presentado hoy a colectivos e instituciones de su área de influencia su nuevo Plan de Participación Ciudadana en Humanización de la Junta de Andalucía. El documento recoge diferentes medidas para incorporar el punto de vista de la ciudadanía y la experiencia del paciente a la estrategia de Humanización del centro.

El acto de presentación del Plan se ha llevado a cabo en el Salón de Actos del Hospital Universitario Poniente, con la presencia del delegado territorial de la Consejería de Sanidad, Juan de la Cruz Belmonte, junto a la directora de Enfermería del Hospital Universitario Poniente y coordinadora del Plan de Humanización del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía (SSPA), Consuelo Artero, el director médico del centro, Salvador Maroto y la presidenta de la Comisión de Humanización y coordinadora de Gestión de Cuidados, María Teresa Estévez.
Juan de la Cruz Belmonte ha dado la bienvenida a los representantes de los colectivos presentes en el acto y ha recordado que “el Hospital Universitario Poniente es un referente en materia de Humanización, no solo en la provincia de Almería, sino en el conjunto de Andalucía, con propuestas innovadoras y centradas en una atención integral a las necesidades del paciente y de su familia, algo que ha sido reconocido a nivel nacional con varias distinciones en los últimos años”.

Belmonte ha subrayado que “la elaboración de este Plan de Participación Ciudadana, se enmarca dentro en el área relacional del Plan de Humanización del SSPA, y con él se pretende avanzar un paso adicional, articulando diferentes vías para incorporar de forma activa la voz y la opinión de los pacientes, de su entorno más próximo o de las asociaciones de la Comarca del Poniente y de otras entidades públicas y privadas”.
La directora de Enfermería del Hospital Universitario Poniente y coordinadora del Plan de Humanización del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía, Consuelo Artero, ha señalado que “este acto no es simplemente para presentar un documento elaborado por nuestro centro, sino la formalización de una alianza entre el hospital y la ciudadanía a la que atiende”. Artero ha apuntado “queremos escuchar sus opiniones, recoger sus propuestas y que nos ayuden a que la asistencia sanitaria que prestamos esté más allá de la excelencia clínica y técnica y gane día a día en calidez”.

El II Plan de Participación Ciudadana en Humanización del Hospital Universitario Poniente ha sido elaborado por la Comisión de Humanización del centro. Las medidas recogidas en el documento se centran en cuatro grandes líneas de actuación: la participación ciudadana en la Estrategia de Humanización del Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía; el fomento de la cultura participativa, mediante la información, la comunicación y la formación; el desarrollo y la implantación de herramientas para favorecer la participación activa de la ciudadanía; y la mejora de la calidad y el establecimiento de criterios de evaluación de la participación ciudadana.
