El consejero de Universidad, Investigación e Innovación, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, ha puesto de relieve en una reciente comisión parlamentaria el firme compromiso de la Junta de Andalucía con el estudiantado universitario. Este respaldo se traduce en un conjunto de medidas que alcanzarán casi 60 millones de euros en 2026. Según el consejero, “se trata de políticas que persiguen garantizar el acceso a la enseñanza universitaria y la igualdad de oportunidades y, sobre todo, evitar el abandono de los estudios por razones económicas”.

Durante su intervención, Gómez Villamandos ha destacado que la mayor parte de este presupuesto, concretamente 43,6 millones de euros, se destinará a bonificaciones por rendimiento académico. Esto implica que se compensará hasta el 99% del coste de los créditos aprobados en primera matrícula. “Incentivamos el esfuerzo y los buenos resultados, puesto que garantiza la práctica gratuidad de los estudios a quienes aprueben las asignaturas del curso anterior”, ha afirmado. Además, ha mencionado que aquellos estudiantes que se encuentren en situaciones especiales, como enfermedades o accidentes graves, podrán acceder a esta bonificación sin necesidad de cumplir con la obligación de estar matriculados durante el año anterior.
Medidas adicionales para facilitar el acceso a la educación
Gómez Villamandos también ha resaltado la congelación del precio de las matrículas y la posibilidad de fraccionar su pago en hasta ocho plazos. Andalucía se posiciona así entre las comunidades con tasas universitarias más asequibles del país: 12,62 euros por crédito en primera matrícula y 13,68 euros para máster no habilitante. La Consejería también ha invertido 1,3 millones de euros para equiparar los precios entre créditos de grado y máster habilitante. Además, existen exenciones para familias beneficiarias del Ingreso Mínimo Vital y la Renta Mínima de Inserción Social.

En su discurso, Gómez Villamandos también subrayó el compromiso con la internacionalización del alumnado andaluz. Para ello, se han incrementado las ayudas destinadas al programa Erasmus+, alcanzando una partida total de 12,7 millones de euros en los presupuestos para 2026. Aparte del fomento del programa Erasmus+, se están implementando medidas para capacitar a los estudiantes en lenguas extranjeras con ayudas que pueden llegar hasta 300 euros por estudiante. El consejero concluyó enfatizando que “se trata de un catálogo abierto a actualizaciones” con el objetivo prioritario de incentivar tanto el acceso como el desarrollo académico dentro del sistema universitario andaluz.
