IU- LV-CA ha registrado ante la Oficina del Defensor del Pueblo Andaluz una queja por la la modificación puntual del PGOU que el equipo de gobierno del PP quiere realizar para retirar el “pingurucho” monumento de los coloraos de la plaza Vieja y retirar todo el arbolado existente.
IU-LV-CA siempre ha mostrado su rechazo a las injustificadas y desproporcionadas intenciones del PP de querer realizar esta reforma integra de la plaza vieja, como mostro en reiteradas ocasiones en el pleno del Ayuntamiento de Almería y participando en las movilizaciones sociales convocadas contra estas reformas.

IU ha instado al defensor del pueblo andaluz que dentro de sus competencias se dirija al Ayuntamiento de Almería y Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía para se garantice que la reforma puntual nº 64 del PGOU de Almería, este caso, reforma integral de la Plaza de la Constitución garantice su adecuada conservación de sus valores históricos y una adecuada conservación del paisaje urbano.
Por otra parte, se ha informado que la Consejería de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico de la Junta de Andalucía ha hecho caso omiso al compromiso adquirido por el Parlamento de Andalucía donde se instaba al poder ejecutivo para iniciar los trámites necesarios para catalogar como Bien de Interés Cultural, el monumento de los “Mártires de la Libertad “, que actualmente carece de ningún tipo de protección.

Por todo ello, se ha registrado una petición ante la Oficina del Defensor del Pueblo Andaluz para que realicen las gestiones oportunas ante el Ayuntamiento de Almería y Consejería de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico de la Junta de Andalucía para garantizar que la modificación puntual 64 del PGOU de Almería respete los valores históricos existentes y el paisaje urbano existente y siendo necesario que se pueda tramitar con la adecuada transparencia y el adecuado consenso social.

Esta petición se ha remitido con un completo dossier documental sobre las alegaciones registradas, informes jurídicos del ayuntamiento de Almería, dictamen de la Comisión Provincial de Cultural y otra información relevante para que el defensor del pueblo pueda realizar esta intervención .
