El 12 de marzo de 2022 quedará grabado en la memoria de los vecinos de Macael y la comarca del Almanzora como el día en el que el Parque de las Familias de este municipio, uno de los más grandes de la provincia y mejor equipados de Andalucía, abrió sus puertas al público como punto de encuentro para la diversión y el ocio familiar.
Esta mañana el presidente de la Diputación de Almería, Javier A. García, y el alcalde de Macael, Raúl Martínez, acompañados por otros miembros de la corporación municipal; el vicepresidente de Diputación, Ángel Escobar; los diputados provinciales José Antonio García, Carmen Navarro y Conce Pérez, así como por diferentes alcaldes de la zona, han inaugurado el nuevo Parque de las Familias del municipio, que se ubica en la Avenida de Andalucía.

Para su puesta de largo se ha organizado una jornada festiva donde los macaeleros y demás visitantes han podido disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece este nuevo espacio público para la ciudadanía, así como de distintas actividades de animación, magia o una paella gigante.
El presidente de Diputación ha felicitado al alcalde y al Ayuntamiento por “la firme apuesta que habéis hecho por este parque. Esto demuestra que hay un equipo de gobierno con un alcalde a la cabeza que quiere igualar oportunidades en su municipio. Hoy ser macaelero es un orgullo. Habéis construido un municipio con mucho esfuerzo que está a la cabeza de la comarca y de la provincia. No hay otro lugar en Almería como éste y lo es gracias al empeño de su alcalde, que está luchando para daros servicios y oportunidades. Este parque está a la altura de una gran ciudad”.

En este sentido, Javier A. García ha destacado que desde hoy “el parque se convierte en un polo de atracción para visitantes de otros municipios de la comarca y del resto de la provincia. Dinamizará social y económicamente el municipio. Infraestructuras de estas características nos ayudan a materializar dos de nuestros más grandes objetivos como Diputación: vertebrar el territorio, igualar oportunidades entre almerienses, vivan donde vivan, porque las familias de Macael tienen el mismo derecho que las de la capital para disfrutar de un parque como éste, y fijar la población”.

Por su parte, el alcalde de Macael ha señalado que “queríamos sacar de este espacio un nexo de unión entre el pueblo, la naturaleza, los juegos para los más pequeños…, y conseguir que este espacio, con los niños y las familias, tengamos todas las posibilidades para que, quien quiera, pueda tener hijos en nuestro municipio y disponga de espacios de ocio donde disfrutar con ellos, sin preocupaciones y de una forma lúdica y segura, aprendiendo a la vez con las plantas y animales que tenemos en nuestro entorno”.
En esta misma línea, el alcalde ha destacado que “hoy es un día muy importante para el municipio. Hemos pensado a lo grande y juntos hacemos realidad los sueños. Han sido tres años muy duros de trabajo, una inversión muy importante que ha contado con el apoyo de Diputación. Este parque se ha hecho con corazón y mucho cariño. No teníamos un espacio como este, diferenciado por edades. Hemos plantado árboles para crear un entorno natural y sostenible”.

El Parque de las Familias de Macael ha contado con una inversión de 1,2 millones de euros aportados mayoritariamente por el Ayuntamiento en colaboración con la Diputación de Almería.
