La delegación del Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía en Almería ha acogido este jueves la celebración de una Jornada de Promoción y Difusión del Sistema Arbitral de Consumo y de la Junta Arbitral de Consumo, así como de las Instituciones Jurídicas del Arbitraje de Consumo y de Mediación. La jornada ha sido organizada por el Área de Promoción y Consumo del Ayuntamiento de Almería y ha contado con la subvención del Ministerio de Consumo del Gobierno de España y el apoyo de la Junta de Andalucía.

El concejal de Promoción, Jesús Luque, ha asistido a la inauguración del acto junto a la delegada del Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía en Almería, Aránzazu Martín. El edil ha indicando que "estamos aquí para apoyar estas jornadas que difunden la labor que realiza la Junta Arbitral de Consumo, un servicio para resolver problemas antes de llegar a Juicio, totalmente gratuito y muy accesible". El concejal igualmente ha reconocido que "el Ayuntamiento de Almería está constituido desde el año 93 como Junta Arbitral de Consumo y todo el que tenga algún problema puede dirigirse a nuestras instalaciones, donde será atendido por un técnico que luego será el propio árbitro de las partes". Por último, Luque ha reconocido que "en estas jornadas participa gente muy importante del plano jurídico, incluso del Tribunal Constitucional, que hablarán mucho y muy bien de la labor tan importante que realizan estas Juntas Arbitrarias de Consumo".
Por su parte, la delegada ha agradecido "al Ayuntamiento de Almería por pensar en nosotros para celebrar estas importantes jornadas, ya que estas resoluciones extrajudiciales de conflictos debe de ser uno de los principales caminos para evitar llegar a un juicio principalmente en materia de consumo". Igualmente, Martín ha matizado que "es un placer porque, junto a profesores de la universidad, van a poner de manifiesto lo que se realica en estas juntas arbitrarias a todos los estudiantes que han asistido a las mismas".

Este se configura como el arbitraje institucional de resolución extrajudicial de conflictos entre las personas consumidoras y las empresas o profesionales, a solicitud de las primeras. Es voluntario y ofrece un resultado vinculante para ambas partes sin necesidad de acudir a los juzgados y tribunales. Solo puede ser solicitado por personas consumidoras o usuarias.
