La delegada territorial de Fomento, Articulación del Territorio y Vivienda, Dolores Martínez, ha expresado "lo importante que es la colaboración entre administraciones, para hacer frente a proyectos tan destacados como éste, que apuestan por la transformación de la ciudad en el Siglo XXI". "Entre esta obra y la del Puerto Ciudad la Junta de Andalucía se ha comprometido, llevando a cabo la mayor inversión de su historia en la capital de Almería, con una inversión cercana a los 65 millones de euros". Además, Martínez ha dicho "que esta remodelación de tráfico afecta de forma importante al Consorcio de transportes de la Junta de Andalucía, ya que hay que establecer los diferentes flujos de autobuses que llegan y parten de la ciudad, al ser área de influencia metropolitana".
Desmontaje del viaducto
Según ha apuntado Gustavo Galdeano, director de la obra, el desmontaje del viaducto, que cuenta con siete pilas y ocho vanos, se realizará de sur a norte, con grúas de gran tonelaje que irán cogiendo las piezas y colocándolas en el suelo a medida que avancen los trabajos. “Las obras empezarán desde la carretera Sierra Alhamilla hacia el norte. Cuando lleguemos al paso sobre la avenida de Montserrat, habrá un corte puntual para levantar esas piezas y se volverá a abrir la avenida de manera inmediata, es decir, lo que se tarde en levantar estas piezas y terminar la actuación. Calculamos que esto será en unas pocas semanas”.
